Teaching areas are negotiable, but experience in teaching administration and policy sequences on the BSW and MSW levels are strongly preferred.Other responsibilities include academic advising, participation in research projects, and service to the department, University, and the surrounding community.

An MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program, a doctoral degree (or close to completion) in social work or a related field, and a minimum of 2 years post-master’s social work experience.Administrative and/or clinical experience is highly desirable.Demonstrated teaching effectiveness and prior research experience are also desirable.
Special Requirement:
Must be a Seventh-day Adventist in good and regular standing.
Director of Field Education, the Director will provide leadership in developing and implementing the Field Education program.

REQUIREMENTS:
A doctorate degree in Social Work or related discipline (ABD considered) and a MSW degree from a CSWE accredited institution are required. Two years of professional post-MSW social work practice is also required, with five or more years preferred. This position requires demonstrated administrative, supervisory, leadership abilities and effective teaching experience in higher education.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop relationships with community social service agencies to provide practicum sites and service learning opportunities for students. Consistently monitor and evaluate students in field placements. Organize and facilitate training for field instructors. Maintain accurate and current field practicum records. Maintain and distribute current Field Education Manual. Contribute to continual program improvement through annual analysis and evaluation of program competencies.
TEACHING AND ADVISING
The Director will teach three courses per semester and will advise social work students about the academic requirements of the program; their academic plans and schedules, course selections, and semester registration.

Must have a strongly expressed commitment to Jesus Christ, the teachings and mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, an SDA church member in good and regular standing.
